He asks if it makes me nervous at all.
“No,” I say almost immediately, “because I know you are the one I want to be with for the rest of my life. I have never been so sure about anything in my entire life.”
He smiles and rolls over, taking the covers with him.
“It is ok if it makes you nervous.” I say, “I suppose I expect you to experience cold feet because, well, you are a man, after all.” I laugh as I speak those last words. He turns over to look me in the eye, smiles and then rolls his eyes.
He kisses me square on the mouth, then says, “You really have no idea how much I love you.”
…I believe that I do.
…I know more than you think. ;)
