It may have clicked today.
I may have found myself, this afternoon, standing at the sink in the kitchen.
Christians are taught to live out their beliefs and morals and to be “unashamed” when persecuted by the secular world. And until this moment, my brain never recognized that this concept doesn’t just apply to the Christian lifestyle as the bible-thumpers would have us believe. The concept of being “unashamed” in respect to your beliefs and morals should apply to every single person on this planet. Because, really, what all the bible teachers, preachers, teachers and missionaries were trying to relay was the concept that even though your beliefs may not be mainstream, and you may get persecuted for them, you should live as if to say “you can disagree with my beliefs, but I don’t care.
To be unashamed….
To live the way I am living; happy, deliriously happy and crazy in love
To tell my parents that I have no clue when, or if, I will get married
To look those who “pity” my decisions square in the face and smile
To love and not make excuses for my decisions
