the house fell thru, the one that was our first choice anyway.
our second choice however, processed everything within two hours and gave us a big stamp of approval. The manager left the key under the door yesterday: "go over and measure if you want. Make a list of things needed to be fixed or whatever. I'll just leave the key there so you can start moving your things in." Talk about efficiency.
so...we are no longer homeless.
But there is a long list of things to do to this house, i.e. paint, landscaping, cleaning, fixing broken drawers, etc. I'm looking forward to it, making it our own. It will be so good for us, finally playing house.
Its cheaper than our first choice, and has one more bedroom and a bigger backyard, and it comes with a cool story: Supposedly the lady that lived there before had a nervous breakdown and neglected the property for a couple months before anyone knew. How sad.
I will take pictures and post them once we start working. Paint comes first, or maybe one good cleaning. We'll see. There's just one thing still hanging over my head.
I'm excited, but i wish school didnt coincide with our move-in date. Everything will get done, eventually. And then we will have a party.
