Vote

This being the very first presidential election that I am voting in, I am finding myself very excited to enter the voting booth today. Although I am 21, and could have voted previously, I didn't take an interest in politics until now. I used to believe that, either way, the laws passed and the people voted into office did not and would not effect my life in any way. And it is true that some of the measures I am voting on today may not directly effect my life, but they effect those around me- my family, my friends and my loved ones- and for that I want to make my vote count. Because someday all these measures and people voted into offices will effect me, and when they do, hopefully the United States will be a different place.
