Breaking Boys 16
"There was the boy who had weathered eight years by my side. He was the boy who befriended me and was content to be my companion, even when his intentions might have been otherwise. He was the boy who disappeared for months or years at a time, but who always reappeared at just the right moment. He was the boy who had loved me the longest, platonically or otherwise. He was the boy who scared me, even after all the time that had gone by, because he could see through all my colors. He was the boy who I never trusted myself with."

I love what you are doing, the breaking boys series...did you come up with the idea? The use of quotation marks adds a certain element of the storyteller and with that the mystery. I think that breaking boys 16 is one of my favorites.
And of course after reading these I put the males in my life into the same context. Therapeutic to a degree, but I guess you know that. I can't wait to hear more. And I'm happy to find a post a day from you.
Thanks for the complement, Ayla. =)
The idea just popped into my head one day, so I decided to run with it. If I can tweek it enough, I have a whole book plotted out in my brain. We'll see though. Right now it is more of therapy than anything else, and an chance to be honest, finally, about my relationships.
