Do you remember when friendster was all the rage? Maybe you don't, but I do. I can recall networking with long lost high school friends and how great it felt to still be connected, in some way, to thier lives.
The thing I remember the most about that site was finding friends in those people you never gave a second thought to in high school. It seemed that once graduation had come and gone, all social circles and snap judgments you had made about other people became obsolete. You now had the freedom to like whomever you wanted.
Don’t get me wrong here, I really don’t think there was anyone I truly didn’t like back in high school, but there were people that I didn’t think could be my friend. They stayed acquaintances because I was comfortable with my existing circle of friends. We all were. But now that those circles are obliterated, as I said before, we have the time and freedom to make some great friends.
Now the hot spot for networking with friends has become MySpace. It's very similiar to Friendster, but more for dating, or so I'm told. CLick on the link above and check it out. Who knows? Maybe you'll find a long lost friend that never was.
